Presentation

I am a Senior Lecturer in Sport Sciences and Deputy Head of Department at the Department of Sport Sciences, Faculty of Education and Society, at Malmö University.

My research focuses on equity and social justice in the school subject Physical Education and Health. In 2024, I completed my PhD with the dissertation Equity in Physical Education and Health, in which I examined how equity in Physical Education and Health can be understood and measured, and how it has developed in the Swedish school system between 2000 and 2020. The research combines analyses of large-scale register data with students’ perceptions of the subject Physical Education and Health.

My broader research interests include educational equity, grading practices, and the relationship between social background and academic achievement. I have also conducted research on physical fitness, exercise habits, and mental health within police education.

I have taught courses in exercise science, physical testing, research methods, and statistical analysis, as well as within teacher education in Physical Education and Health. I also collaborate with external organisations, including RF-SISU Skåne and the Swedish Police Authority.
