The doctoral school for professionals in social services is part of the research programme on applied welfare and aims to contribute to knowledge building in social services in the long term.

The doctoral school is designed to meet strategically prioritized knowledge needs identified within the social services sector. It is run in close partnership between four Swedish universities: Malmö University, Lund University, the University of Gothenburg, and Linnaeus University. Together, these institutions offer a strong and interdisciplinary research environment rooted in both academic excellence and long-standing collaboration with local authorities.

Structure

The programme is designed to enable professionals working in social services to obtain a licentiate degree within four years.
