Research in focus: Peace, democracy and human rights
human rights
How can we build sustainable societies where peace, democracy and human rights are not just ideals but a lived reality? At Malmö University, research examines power structures, amplifies marginalised voices and explores new ways to foster participation and safeguard fundamental rights and freedoms. As part of Campus Total Defence, the university contributes knowledge to strengthen society's resilience, justice and social cohesion – in collaboration with civil society, authorities and international partners.

Peace, democracy and human rights
With our interdisciplinary profile, strong research and broad collaboration with civil society, Malmö University has been tasked with leading the field of peace, democracy and human rights within Campus Total Defence – an initiative that aims to bring together networks, create dialogue and formulate concrete goals and activities in the field.
