LGBTQ+ research in the Nordic countries is strong and multi-faceted, but it has largely been done within its respective discipline. The network gather the Nordic LGBTQ+ research on health and living conditions in a wide sense.

About

In 2021 the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (Forte) launched a call for funding for increasing knowledge about LGBTQ+ persons' life situations and health. Twelve projects received funding and are reporting their results currently and during the coming years. Taking its starting point in networking between funded project groups, a Nordic Network for LGBTQ+ research on Health and Living Conditions is now launched. The aim is to gather the Nordic LGBTQ+ research on health and living conditions in a wide sense, to share research results, conferences or workshops with each other, and to organize network meetings and eventually conferences.

The network coordinator is Catrine Andersson, Associate professor in Social Work at Malmö University, with support from the Centre for Sexology and Sexuality Studies (CSS).

The contact person in Norway is Malin Lindroth, Associate professor at Oslo Metropolitan University.
