Presentation

I have a PhD in history from Lund University and a position as senior lecturer in social work specialising in disability studies at Malmö University. I have been conducting research on disability issues since 2006 and am interested in how norms regarding functionality, sexuality and so on affect individuals, groups and society as a whole.

From 2024 to 2027, I am leading the Swedish Research Council-funded research project ‘Understanding Epilepsy: Knowledge, Education and Stigmatisation, 1950–2020’ together with Johanna Ringarp of Stockholm University.

From 2019 to 2023, I carried out a research project, funded by Forte, in collaboration with Niklas Altermark (Lund University), which aimed to understand life expectancy for people with cognitive disabilities as a political and social issue.
